Crisp was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled in the 1st inning, singled in the 6th inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 8th of the season) in the 7th inning and doubled in the 9th inning. SSB made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. The win went to Mike Maroth(8-6) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Esteban Yan recorded his 2nd save. Mike Gonzalez(4-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. 'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Phil Vantrepotte said. 'We did what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
